The Long Road to a Listing
Some listings come quickly—an introduction, a consultation, and the home hits the market. Others take years to unfold.
A few weeks ago, I signed a listing agreement with a family I first met back in 2019. At the time, they weren’t ready to sell. In fact, they weren’t even sure they ever would. They just wanted to learn about the Portland real estate market, get a sense of their home’s value, and understand what the process might look like down the road.
Since then, we’ve stayed in touch. A text on their birthdays. A quick check-in when new sales happened in their neighborhood. No pressure, no sales pitch—just showing up consistently so they knew I’d be there when the time was right.
And this summer, it finally was. Their kids are grown, retirement is on the horizon, and suddenly moving didn’t feel scary—it felt exciting. When they decided to sell, they didn’t shop around for an agent. They called me.
That phone call was more than just business—it was proof that trust, once earned, lasts. Real estate isn’t only about the market; it’s about relationships that stretch across seasons of life.
It’s why we do what we do, and why we believe patience pays off in the most meaningful ways.
Every home has a story. We’re here to help you write the next chapter.
