The Weekend We Turned a Home Around

How much can you really do in 48 hours? If you're prepping a Portland home for market—turns out, quite a lot.

Earlier this summer, a past client called us in a bit of a panic. A family emergency meant they needed to list their SE Portland home fast—like this weekend fast. It wasn’t a disaster, but it wasn’t photo-ready either. There were moving boxes in the hallway, scuffed walls, a front yard that needed a refresh, and a whole lot of life still happening inside.

We rolled up Friday morning with coffee, a plan, and a list that would make a contractor sweat. We brought in our stager, booked cleaners, grabbed a few of our own tools and supplies, and got to work. By Saturday afternoon, we were patching drywall. That night, someone (not naming names) was still outside at 10 p.m. adjusting solar path lights and re-mulching flower beds. By Monday? The home looked calm, warm, and ready to meet its next owner.

It went pending in four days—with multiple offers.

What that weekend taught us wasn’t anything new, really. It just reaffirmed what we already believe: selling a home is rarely as simple as “stick a sign in the yard.” The best outcomes come from attention, strategy, and serious elbow grease. And in Portland’s competitive market, details matter.

Clients trust us not just because we list homes—but because we show up for them, especially when the timing is tight and the stakes are high.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling in the Portland area, we’d love to be part of your story.
